During his many years in radio Lee has been called upon to do some wild stunts such as spending a weekend broadcasting from a motor home hoisted 40 feet in the air by a crane. And in public service campaigns he spent time in a lion cage to raise money for a zoo, and was one of the first in the country to get drunk on the air (under monitoring by the Illinois State Police and medical personnel) to discourage drinking and driving.
Lee is well known for his years on the air at WIRL & KZ-93 in Peoria and WHYT in Detroit, where he also served as Program Director. He was a co-owner/operator of Radio Disney in Little Rock. He recently taught a class on "The History of Rock & Roll" for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Bradley University.
His first radio "gig" was in Ottawa, Illinois. It was here that he began to learn the intricacies involved in programming, producing and executing "live" events.
